Misk Foundation, established by HRH Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz in 2011, is a non-profit foundation devoted to cultivate and encourage learning and leadership in youth for a better future in Saudi Arabia.
To this end, Misk focuses on the country’s youth and provides various means to foster, empower, and create a healthy environment for young creative talents to grow and see the light.
Misk Foundation invests in empowering the youth of Saudi youth in three main pillars; education and technology, culture and arts, and entrepreneurship. These pillars of knowledge will support and advance our country’s future. Enabling the youth of Saudi Arabia to learn is a means through which technological, literary, cultural, social, and business advancements are made.
Misk Foundation pursues these goals by both designing programs and partnering with local and global organizations in diverse fields. Through a variety of incubators, Misk is helping to develop the intellectual capital and unleash the potential of the youth of Saudi Arabia.
We believe that our organizational presence will support and enhance the efforts to establish a knowledge-based society, which will, in turn, bring fulfillment and add value to the Saudi society.
Saudi Arabia is eager to become a knowledge-based economy and society. This shift is clearly reflected in the Tenth Development Plan, issued pursuant to Royal Decree No. 23 on 7/12/1379 H, to build a strategy for Saudi Arabia’s transition to a knowledge society. Within the framework of such Plan, the “National Strategy for Youth” emphasizes the significance of supporting youth and nurturing their entrepreneurial, intellectual, and physical abilities.
With this in mind, Misk will focus on the integration of its efforts alongside those of all relevant institutions and stakeholders to achieve this vision.
Allah Almighty has bestowed humans with power, money, and knowledge to be utilized in the right direction. Not only that, humans should also ensure the sustainability of these blessings as we may consider sustainability as one of the most vital factors in prolonging the time span of any given civilization. In developed countries, sustainability and development are ensured through adopting creativity and positivity as a base for institutional operations. This is reflected by the durability of institutions for tens and hundreds of years to be key factors in shaping societies.
Therefore, Misk and I, hand in hand, seek to take actions, adopt initiatives, and encourage creativity, ensuring their sustainability and growth to contribute in developing the human mind.
We ask Allah, the Almighty, to guide us through the path of giving back to society, realizing our leadership’s vision, and faithfully serving our nation.
