Introduction

Misk in partnership with the UNESCO introduce an internship opportunity. The program provides young Saudi university graduates and young qualified professionals the opportunity to join UNESCO at the early stage of their professional career. This is a unique opportunity for Saudi youth to play a part in bringing peace through international cooperation in education, culture and science.

Program details

The UNESCO Misk Internship offers practical work in one of UNESCO’s priority areas (Education, culture or science). Asides from helping fellows understand the Organization’s mandate, programs, and main thrusts, it also enhances the fellow’s experience with relevant work assignments that can help them prepare for the future.

Universal Access and Preservation, Information for all Programme (IFAP). Communication and Information Sector.

Diversity of Cultural Expressions, Culture Sector.

External Relation and Public information, Division of Member States and Partners, Arab desk

Social inclusion, gender equality and rights (disadvantaged groups such as migrants)

Science Policy and Partnerships Section, Natural Sciences Sector

Earth Sciences and Geo-Hazards Risk Reduction Section, Natural Sciences Sector

Culture of peace and non-violence, global citizenship, cultural diversity and culture’s contribution to sustainable development

Develop and implement communication, advocacy and resource mobilization strategy

World Water Assessment Programme (WWAP)

Education Strategic Plan, National Human Resources Development Strategy, SDG4 and the Strategy for Mainstreaming Gender Equality in Education.

General Eligibility and Qualifications

  • Nationality: Saudi Arabia
  • Age: 20-30 years of age
  • Education: Bachelor degree in education, culture, science, social and human sciences or communication, or in a field related to the management and administration of an international organization. A graduate degree is an additional asset.
  • Languages: fluent in English and Arabic. Knowledge of French is an additional asset.
  • Previous experience: Demonstrated professional and international, or NGO experience
  • Values: Integrity, professionalism, respect for diversity and a strong commitment to the UNESCO mission.
